Mary Rose Brideau
Brideau, Mary Rose … Following a lengthy illness, Mary Rose
Brideau of Saint John, NB, wife of the late Edward Brideau, passed
away peacefully at the St. John and St. Stephen Nursing Home on
Monday, November 10, 2008. Born in Saint John on March 13, 1917, she
was a daughter of the late William and Bertha (Adams) McDonald. For
many years she was employed by H.G. Harrison and Canada Packers. She
was a former member of St. John the Baptist Church, Stella Maris
Church and St. Joachim’s Church. Mary was the last surviving
member of her immediate family and is survived by several nieces and
nephews. Besides her husband, Eddie (d.1987) she was predeceased by
two brothers, Ralph and Rufus McDonald and three sisters, Helen
Losier, Betty “Bess” Davidson and Hazel Hyslop.
Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Joachim’s Church, Loch Lomond Rd. on Thursday, November 13, 2008 at 11 am. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to any charity of choice.
