Arthur "Art" Bourke Warwick

Arthur "Art" Bourke Warwick

Arthur Bourke Warwick, age 90, died on February 05, 2019 from a stroke at the Saint John Regional Hospital.  Art was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and uncle and will be missed dearly by all. His grandchildren, great-nephews and great-nieces will remember him for his great imagination, storytelling and jungle walks at the farm.

Art was born in Moncton, NB to William and Marjorie (Bourke) Warwick.  Sadly, his sister Isabel (Walter) Lord precedes him in death only two weeks earlier.  He leaves behind his wife of 67 years, Maureen (nee Small) and daughters, Roxanne (Peter) Clancy and Angela Saunders.  He will be missed by his grandchildren, Jason (Kristen) Saunders, Devin Saunders, Dwayne Saunders, Olivia Clancy, Lauren (Sabastien) Jodouin and Connor Clancy.  Art will also be missed by his nephew and nieces, Stephen (Patricia) Lord, Heather (Robert) MacKinnon and Dawn (Neil) Holmen.

Art began his career at CBC Halifax as a graphics designer and later a design director with several Canadian television stations.  His final position was with CBC Moncton.  Art’s love for travel and adventure resulted in his involvement with the Columbo Plan to setup television in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (1963-65) and a UNDP project in New Delhi, India (1971-73).  After retiring, he and Maureen continued to travel and spent time in Australia, New Zealand and Argentina.

Many thanks to the staff of the emergency room and 4BSouth.  Their professionalism, concern and care was much appreciated.

Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, West Saint John, NB (506-634-7425). In keeping with the family’s wishes, no services will be held at this time. The family will hold a graveside service at a later date.

For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Alzheimer Society of Canada.
