Muriel Elizabeth Crilley
Muriel E. Crilley of Saint John passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2010 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born at Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Annie G. (Whelly) and Shirley K. Taylor. Muriel was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Women’s League. She was involved with many bowling events, she was a Regional Representative of the New Brunswick Candlepin Bowler’s Association, a member of the New Brunswick Senior Citizen’s Federation, Loyalist Zone, the Seagulls of Market Square, the Senior’s Resource Centre and the Stephenson Tower Social Club. She was also a volunteer at the Senior Resource Centre in Brunswick Square, and was a faithful member of the Thursday Morning Ladies’ Bowling League at Haymarket Square for many years. Muriel had been a long-time employee of Foley’s Pottery.

Muriel was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by three daughters, Mary E. LeBlanc (Joe Jr.) and Ann Durant (David) of Saint John, and Karen Galbraith (Sean Weatherup) of Lower Sackville, NS; seven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Muriel was predeceased by two brothers, James Taylor and Leonard Taylor; one sister, Frances Taylor-Ouglar; and a granddaughter, Kim Ward.

Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM from Brenan’s Chapel. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
