Marion Evangeline Sharp

Marion E. Sharp died peacefully on January 14, 2010 at the Loch Lomond Villa Nursing Home. She was born on December 6, 1922 to the late Norman and Annie (Day) Sharp. Marion leaves behind her two nieces, Anne Day and Kathy Lyon and a nephew, Robert Sharp.

God has now released her from this world to be with her beloved family. Marion was once described as “The most beautiful person I’ve ever met.” She devoted her life to others and was generous to a fault.

She had no children of her own, however was a “mother to many” having spent her career working as a matron of the NB Protestant Orphanage, Eton College, Netherwood School, Toronto Hospital for Sick Children, Rothesay Collegiate and finally the Evangeline Home.

As per the request of the family there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private graveside service will be held in Fernhill Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). For those who wish, remembrances to the Animal Rescue League would be appreciated by the family.
