Donna June Pratt

Donna June Pratt of Saint John, wife of the late Charles Pratt, passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Donna was born on April 11, 1931 in Saint John to the late Arthur and Ellen (Raymond) Belyea. She was a life member of the Royal Kennebecassis Yacht Club, and Portland United Church where she taught Canadian Girls in Training (CGIT). She spent many a day in the City Market, and enjoyed an afternoon tea at Market Square with her many friends. She was also a long standing member of the Progressive Conservative Party. Donna devoted her life to her family, and her grandchildren fondly called her “Gee”. She will be remembered for “a Coke and a Smile”.

Donna is survived by her daughter, Heather Pratt (Peter Adams) of Saint John; brother, Arthur Belyea (Joan) of Halifax, NS; three sisters: Nancy King of Halifax, NS and Frances Bambury (William) and Sandra Scott (Bob) both of Saint John; two grandchildren, Ethan and Lauren Adams; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and her parents, Donna was predeceased by an infant daughter, Stephanie Lynn.

Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Friday, January 29, 2010 at 11 AM from Portland United Church. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to PRO Kids or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
