George "Papa" Reginald Ruseff

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of George "Papa" Reginald Ruseff of Saint John, which occurred on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on September 19, 1923 in Quispamsis, NB, he was a son of the late George and Georgina (Frozel) Ruseff. George was employed as a carpenter with Marquee Construction until his retirement. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, he also loved fishing and playing crib. He is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth "Beth" Ruseff of Saskatchewan and Lisa Lanteigne (Gary Smith) of Saint John; two brothers, Ronald Ruseff (Catherine) and Frederick Ruseff (Irene); three sisters, Gloria Williams, Greta Ross and Kathleen Merwin; seven grandchildren, Sherwin, Brad, Ryan, Amy, Amanda, Kevin and Jason; eight great-grandchildren, Carmen, Mya, Terri Lynn, Taylor, Sherwin, Cody, Jude and Dexter; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by four brothers, John, Gerald, Donald and Guy; one grandson, Andrew MacBurnie. He will be sadly missed by his family and coffee buddies from McAllister Mall.

 

By request of the family visitation and funeral service will take place at a later date. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (634-7424).
