Catherine "Cathie" Gardner

 It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Catherine "Cathie" Couck (McMahan) Gardner of Quispamsis, NB, wife of John Gardner, which occurred on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on October 1, 1938 in Glasgow, Scotland she was a daughter of the late Katherine (Couck) McMahon. Cathie’s pride and joy were her grandchildren and she enjoyed drives, gardening and bingo. Besides her husband she is survived by one daughter, Johanna Clark (Mark) of Quispamsis; two sisters, Mary Stuart (Robert) of Orangeville, and Janet Burgess (David) of Scotland; three grandchildren, Brandon Gardner, Gillian and Riley Clark; several nieces and nephews. Besides her mother she was predeceased by one sister, Ruby Norwood.

 

To honour the request of the family there will be no visitation or funeral service. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (634-7424).
