Dear McConnell family,
I was very sorry to hear of Helen’s passing. She remains so full of life in my many memories of her, especially from my early years growing up on Windsor Street. I remember her turquoise Pontiac convertible and her big smile and laugh, her sunglasses and most of all, her warm welcome, her sense of humour, her laugh.
In later years I saw her less often, but whenever I did she had the same warm interest and welcoming smile. But she remained close to my family especially my Mom and Dad who I know will miss her terribly.
The same is certainly true of all of you. I’m sorry for your loss.
But I think she had a great life with all of you as well. She was one of a kind.
Thinking of you and Helen.
