It is with great sadness that the family announces the
passing of Patricia Ann Barry of Saint John, wife of Lawrence J.
"Bunker" Barry, which occurred on August 3, 2012 at
the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB on January
8, 1938 she was a daughter of the late J. Edward and Alice G.
(Broderick) LeClair.
Patricia worked for Standard Life, Union Electric and
Prudential Assurance, retiring in 1987. She was an avid golfer and was
past member of Riverside Golf Club. Patricia also enjoyed many trips
to golf destinations in the south.
She is survived by her loving husband, Lawrence
"Bunker"; two sons, Steve and Kevin (Kim) both of
Saint John; brothers, Kevin (Barb) of Bathurst, NB and Paul (Jeni) of
Fredericton, NB; sisters, Eileen Cusack (Don) and Sheila Levesque both
of Saint John; several nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Patricia’s wishes there will be no
formal visitation or funeral service. A private graveside service will
take place at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances to Romero
House or any charity of the donor’s choice would be
appreciated by the family. Arrangements are under the care and
direction of Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home,
1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John
(634-7425).
Condolences
We are so sorry for your loss. When we moved to Brookview Crescent, Pat was the first person to welcome us to the neighbourhood with a plate of delicious lemon tarts. Over the years, we became used to her smiling face and a friendly wave from across the street. She was one of our mom's favourite people. We will miss her.
Bunker, we know the boys will look after you but if there is anything that we can do at anytime, please don't hesitate to let us know.

We were so surprised and sad to read in this morning's newspaper of Patsy's passing.
The last time I was speaking to her was when we were both getting radiation at the hospital...she hadn't changed over the years and it was so nice to see her then and have a good chat...I believe that was in 1998...we talked of you. of course, and families and caught up on what was going on in our lives.
She was a 'special' person and will be missed by all who were lucky enough to have known her.
Please accept our sincere condolences at this most difficult time.
