Obituary of Dino Lloyd Pasqualetto

It is with broken hearts that the family of Dino Lloyd Pasqualetto of Saint John, loving husband of Janice, announce his untimely passing which occurred on Monday, April 15, 2024 at his home.  Born on February 24, 1965 in Saint John, he was the son of Corinne O'Blenis and the late Fiorindo Pasqualetto.

In addition to his dear wife and mother, Dino will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his son, Tanner (Katie); precious grandchildren, Jessa and Kash; special nephew, Myles; brothers, Mark (Laverne), Tony (Jennifer) and Stephen (Denise); father-in-law, Joe (the late Flo) and cousin, Dave (Jennifer) who he knew would be there to help Janice through this difficult time.

Dino was an avid traveler and had a zest for life that was second to none.  He loved cooking, at family functions he could always be found at the BBQ or in the kitchen preparing food for everyone…this was his act of love.

As his son said, Dino has always been the underlying structure and support of the family.  He was known for helping anyone in need, generously, as if he had known you his entire life, even if it meant going without and this, he did countless times.  Dino had compassion for others unlike anyone.  He would help just to help and not look for any sort of attention or gratification in return.  Dino had the biggest of hearts, he was sensitive, loving, generous and quiet. He was a man who was famous for his dry sense of humour.  His love, advice and guidance will be missed greatly by his family.

Most of his career was spent working as a safety officer in Alberta.  At the end of his career, Dino worked at the Saint John Refinery until he retired due to illness.  Dino was known by many of his co-workers as the Candy Man…as he was one who always followed any negative feedback that he had to share with his colleagues with sweetness…a piece of candy.

Dino’s focus in life, his whole world was Janice, Tanner and his grandchildren.  His grandchildren brought him happiness and they could always make him crack a smile despite his constant pain.

Whatever energy he did have, was used to make sure he lessened the heavy load of life for Janice.

Dino’s family would like to express their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the four paramedics who went above and beyond in caring for him and Janice in his final hours.  Also, a special thank you to the officers from the Saint John Police Department for their kindness.  We cannot express enough gratitude to our amazing family doctor Taryn O’Neil, who always went above and beyond.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation in celebration of Dino’s life, which will take place on Friday, April 19, 2024 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (177 Manchester Avenue, Saint John).  Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home (506-634-7424).

For those who wish, remembrances may be made to The Saint John Street Team (please e-transfer to streetteamsj@gmail.com) or Romero House.
